Bought it because the pressure release valve on the boiler was spritzing. I replaced the expansion tank because with age the bladder inside wears out -- sort of like me I guess. I also replaced the pressure release valve. The tank just screws on by hand. I think I used a tool to get the old one off... maybe a wrench or vise grip. Same with the valve. Use a little teflon tape on the threads and you are all set. The boiler doesn't spritz and the new parts brighten things up.
