Been using mine for a few years now with no problem with the pump. I have mine in a 55 gallon drum pumping diesel fuel. My only complaint is that the metal suction pipe was showing signs of rusting very early within the first year. It doesn't seem to be coated or galvanized, just regular metal pipe. I think that would cause pump problems in the future and should be engineered better. I replaced it with PVC pipe and haven't had any issues.

My last pump eventually quit after about two decades of use for gasoline and diesel. Rebuilding the pump at a significant cost for the rebuild kit was a waste of time as it still would not pump efficiently so I threw it in the trash and bought this pump. I expect it to last for at least a couple decades. I now use two of these pumps on my fuel trailer, one for diesel and one for gasoline both with filters after the pumps. My only complaint would be the cost of the pump especially when you dont get the suction tube, otherwise a great pump. I will buy again when the time comes.
