I was worried ordering these after seeing so many issues with installation. But it appears all those having trouble were installing incorrectly. Once the end caps are removed and track clean, you simply line the trim piece up on either end and into the top slot and begin working your way down from one end to the other snapping the trim on into the bottom track. It clips on over the end. DO NOT SLIDE ON. Completed both sides in less than 10 minutes. Hope this helps someone. Great product, extremely happy with the results.

I read many reviews and was concerned because my steps have been on my truck for years. I took the steps off and cleaned them thoroughly with a hi pressure car wash wand and then cleared small particles of dirt from the grooves with an old Sawzall blade and yes some of the finish did scrape off during the installation process and got a little tight near the end, but they pushed on by hand. No scratches were visible after installation was completed. Very satisfied and happy with my purchase. Oh yeah.... it is a brushed finish. But if you think about it if it were chrome it to would be a scratched finish soon, after all it is a step for a truck/off road vehicle and is usaly in the dirt and stepping on it every time you get into the vehicle. I think the steps are cool and this trim piece adds a little more coolness!

Product is well made and well packaged. It comes in it's own aluminum tube. Very impressed. To better assist in the installation process, deburr sharp ends with a small file or Dremel tool. This will allow the trim pieces to slid on without scrapes or scratches to your boards.

I added these stainless steel strips to my AMP running boards on the 2021 GMC Sierra Denali. The installation was easy and took about 10 minutes aside. Very happy with the product.

Great packaging. Install much easier to take off endcaps, line them up, make sure top lip is in grove of step, click in by pressing firm with hand or thumb every 3 or 4 and reinstall endcaps. Much easier than sliding on. AMP needs to change instructions. Oh! Did i mention they look great on my 2017 LTZ.

Easy to install. Was worries about the coments where people has trouble installing it, but mine went in easy. It does remove some of the coating on the step.
