I put this on the flow in side of my pond skimmer. If we get rain or say the auto fill valve has an issue, the water level will rise to this guy, and flow out and down the pvc pipe to a drainage area. That way the pond doesn't overfill, flooding the yard and putting my koi in danger. The seal works great, no leaks. Exactly what I was looking for.

I live on a lake, in a valley surrounded by trees so my dehumidifiers go nonstop in the summer. I have never had one work with a hose for more than a month so I drill a hole in the side of the bucket towards the bottom and install one of these. I have never had one leak in 17 years. They last longer than the dehumidifiers do!

This is just what is suppose to do.If it leaksthe hole might be a little big so all you have to do is put silicone around the gasket screw on the nut Give it some time to dry and you are good to go.

Works ok and is useable, but the bottom threads were rough which made it difficult to start... after a few turns, it got smoother.
