I couldn't much info on people reupholstering their office chairs. Only half butted jobs where they would put fabric on top of existing fabric.I disassembled my chair, took the bottom cushion and used a tool to take the staples out.I slowly worked the fabric off the foam, if you have ever skinned or filleted something you can use the same method with a knife to try to make sure that as much foam stays intact from the previous adhesive as possible. The adhesive serves to keep the contours of the cushion so it is really only applied on the top of the cushion so you will barely use any of the adhesive.follow the directions and make sure it cures before you start stapling your material of choice from the corners. (I used a heavy canvas cause I saw that this adhesive is very permanent)You should start stapling from the corners so you can reduce the amount of creasing over all (if you don't believe me or are using more stretchy fabric watch some videos on how to how to set up a painting canvas it is essentially the same concept). You can use the staple removal tool from before to reset some points if you are trying to reduce creases, but if you choose a heavy material like I did It will be near impossible to get it smooth.I only started this project after 4 years of use and subsequent holes and pilling that formed there after. This likely gave time for the original adhesive to wear, I would be cautious if this were newer and you were just doing this for asthetics.between the adhesive, staple gun, canvas, and staples the replair cost me about $70 which is good for a $400 chair.I suppose next up will be the mesh backing, god have mercy cause there was barely any info on doing this...

My husband was so happy to find this product again. His application was using it to adhere new upholstery/lining inside a John Deere tractor. Absolutely loves that he can wrap the corners and doesn't have to hold it for 15 minutes before it “sticks “.

This stuff really works! Be very careful of the surroundings of the intended spray area AND use in a very well ventilated place (outside). Great foam adhesive.

Product works very well for gluing foam and fabric only complaint I have is the top on 2 of 3 of my cans were broken. Luckily I had one good working one and was able to use it on the other cans.
