Working on construction sites I have been through many hardhats, I found the fit and adjustable handle to work quite well and fit is quite comfortable compared to other hardhats i have worn in the past.This helmet is approved by OSHA and has UV tab on top so if in the sun the hat lets you know when it's been worn out and dried out from the sun's harsh UV rays.

It's lightweight and comfortable. The vents do help to let the heat out, keeping your head cooler. Though, it seems more like what desk jockeys visiting a work site would be wearing more so than the actual workers.

So far so good. This 3M Hard Hat, SecureFit H-701SFR-UV, is the most comfortable I've had. The front headband is absorbent, but thin enough not to be like a sponge on your forehead. I'm using it in the tropics, so I'm really interested in the little red UV indicator, and how long it'll take to turn from red to white, indicating the plastic has been exposed to significant UV light and may be less protective than it was on its born-on date. I only gave it the 3rd star on durability because it's so new, and it would be unfair to rate it 5 stars before giving it a chance to suffer some real impacts. I dragged my feet before writing this review for that reason. I've worn it a month now and I like it a lot.

We use to use an older version of these hardhats at work for construction walkthroughs, but they wore out over time and were due to be replaced. I already knew I could trust the 3M brand, so I decided to test this out to see if it would be a worthy replacement. They are lightweight, easy to adjust to get the correct fit, and comfortable to wear - the vented top is actually a great improvement from our old ones. If only we could easily transfer all our safety stickers from the old ones to the new ones! LOL
