This has absolutely no smell. My husband can't smell but I have a great nose, and there is nothing. My advice buy somewhere else.

Was thinking that this was an older packaging of the Dior Sauvage that is now in a blue bottle. The cologne does not not smell anything like that one and I do not like. Oh well.

As for this particular cologne I can't really speak too much on it. However chances are someone told you they are interested in or you have heard of sauvage by Dior. Especially if you are referencing anything within the past year. Ads, department stores etc. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. you are looking for sauvage by Dior. It comes in a black bottle. Why the heck Dior used the same name? I don't know. Pretty dumb if you ask me. But please don't be mistaken, this is the scent that was created in the 60s. Appealing to that generation just as polo green and multiple other scents are. Do not buy this for someone that is younger. This smells like something my grandfather would wear which is great if you fit into that age range. You are looking for sauvage that comes in a black bottle otherwise which is the third generation and one of the hottest colognes on the shelves behind aqua di gio today.
