The cable works fine, and isn't too expensive.<br /><br />The data wires are 28 AWG, which is fine, as it's probably the most common gauge for USB data wires.<br /><br />However the power wires are only 26 AWG. USB cables with 24 AWG power wires are fairly common, and you can even find USB cables such as the (admittedly more expensive) Belkin Gold Series with 20 AWG power wires. (Reminder: the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire).

This item was returned; almost false advertising. When I was purchasing the Penpower WorldCardColor business card scanner, this cable popped up in the "customers frequently purchased together" section. It was a totally unnecessary purchase, and I didn't get all my $ back! So, word is, don't buy it for the business card scanner - the business card scanner comes with the exact same cable.

For the price it is ok, but It does the same thing with the other wire I've purchased and returned recently. The sound quality is not equal or better than the shorter cable that I am wanted to replace, the wire is also skinny compared to my original wire.
