I purchased this set as a gift for my husband, who is a huge Doctor Who fan. It comes with one set of cards, one Dalek-themed die, and a wedge-shaped storage container, so you need to own a full edition of Trivial Pursuit if you want to play it as a board game with pie pieces and wedges. The questions span both the old and new series, but some of the number-related ones are pretty obscure and should really offer multiple-choice options as the Trivial Pursuit Master Edition does. (For example, how tall are The Silence? In what year did [xyz] take place?) It would be difficult to use this set for two or more players, since there's just one deck of about 100 cards (6 questions each). But it works for us, since I ask my husband questions from the Doctor Who deck and he just asks me questions from the classic deck. While this set could use a few improvements (multiple-choice questions and more cards), it's a good game for the price!

This game is a lot of fun and my only complaint is with the game box. The lid just sort of sits on top, and more often than not falls off...and all the cards fall out. It's the most infuriating flaw...I'm giving serious consideration to just throwing the cards into a ziploc bag and throwing the stupid plastic bin at a weeping angel. Fingers crossed it gets sucked back to the 1960's. ...

I did not realize this when I originally put it on my wish list, so I will emphasize this: Although this is an officially branded Trivial Pursuit game, it is not the traditional complete board game. It is a sort of condensed version, with only the cards and a die that you use to select the question's category; these come in a large plastic TARDIS-blue wedge. It is great for travel, and you can use the cards in place (or mixed into) the regular game set if you want. One of the category colors is purple, which we substitute for brown from the original when using the pies. The questions cover ALL of Doctor Who history, so be prepared to either know a LOT about DW, or quickly learn. I would like to someday see a full game-board with Doctor Who imagery all over it. I would definitely recommend it for the more extreme Doctor Who fans.

Bought it for my kids. Questions are really hard. You must be a super fan in order to get them right
