Nice feel and works fine for basic start, splits and total elapsed times for up to two athletes. It will do much more but the instructions beyond these basic functions are not available or intuitive. The service free warranty as stated on the back label expired before it arrived and the service fee is $10. A good basic product with sloppy implementation with misleading claims and incomplete instructions.

The little part that holds the cord broke after I had this watch about 2 months. I use it 6 days a week, every week, and it still works. During rain/snow I put it in a ziplock bag and its good to go.

Works fine but forget about changing the battery. 4 of us tried and 4 of us failed, but it's cheap enough so when the battery does conk out just go buy another one.

Works. Instructions printed on inside of packaging in 4 point type. Had to rescue it from the trash, then I needed a magnifier to read them. Fortunately they're simple, and I'll remember them.<br /><br />Case shape doesn't fit my hand well, so is a bit tricky to use. I'd like it to be larger and not tapered at the bottom. Might fit small Asian hands, but not mine, and I'm no Paul Bunyan.<br /><br />When it's in stopwatch mode the word &#34;stopwatch&#34; flashes in the upper left corner, which is maximally annoying. I can't stop thinking that it trying to warn me of a low battery condition. SPEAKING of batteries - there is no &#34;Off &#34; switch, so the battery is being drawn on continuously. How long it will last I don't know, but I will be very unhappy if I pick this thing up after a few months of non-use and find that it's dead.

The instruction manual online doesn't match the functions on the stopwatch

Bought this as a gift for my father, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. The larger screen was easy to see and the design was great since its main use is the outdoor barbeque. The setting of the watch was difficult for him to do, and even gave me a tough time, and we ended up just using it as a standard stop watch, without using the bells and whistles. The directions looked simple but the reality of implementing them was not. For the price the use that he is able to do was good enough.

I bought this stopwatch for timing my son, who recently started running. The stopwatch is great for use on a track . . . for timing speed workouts, etc. The buttons are big and easy to use, and likewise the display is nice and big to see. But there is one big PROBLEM with the stopwatch, that Accusplit needs to FIX. My son also does distance training runs. And even though the stopwatch clearly advertises on the face of it 1/100 seconds, what happens is that this function ceases to work at 40 minutes. It's not that I need the hundreds of a second on long runs, but the actual display becomes quite annoying. One moment the stopwatch is counting quickly, counting minutes, seconds, and hundreds. Then suddenly, it is only timing minutes and seconds. The reason this is annoying? The first several times this happened, the 'perception' is that the stopwatch had STOPPED, and I thought I had bumped it or accidentally hit a button. It took watching it during several distance runs, when I just happened to be looking at it just past 39 minutes to realize what was happening. I could understand if the hundreds disappeared at 1 hour, due to the lack of digits. But the amount of digits at 39:59:99 are exactly the same as what it SHOULD be at 40:00.00. But instead it is now only showing 40:00. Accusplit should immediately fix this problem. I actually called Accusplit about this, thinking I had a malfunctioning stopwatch. But after several calls, they got back to me and simply said &#34;This is the way it was designed.&#34; My question is: &#34;WHY?&#34;. If they would simply fix this, I would have rated the stopwatch with 5 Stars. But this weird anomaly causes me to only give it 3 Stars. I simply want others purchasing this stopwatch to be aware of this oddity on it. If you ONLY plan to use it for short distances on a track, it would be a great watch. But for distance running workouts, not so great.

These stopwatches don't take splits. They show a split while the timer runs int he background, but you cannot recall splits. For a name like ACCUSPLIT, that's a bit deceiving. The stopwatch part works great. Perfect if all you need is one time.

I work in an auto body shop doing paint work with waterborne paint. Our product line requires viscosity checking the paint to see if it needs reduced with more water. If you fail to do this the paint can take a long time to dry or may not lay out properly. Basically, I needed a basic start/stop stopwatch to time how long it takes for the paint to drain out of a specially sized cup for this purpose.<br /><br />This stopwatch will do that function and does keep time just fine. However, the plastic for the outer housing is rather cheap and the screen is easily scratched. I will put some collision wrap over the screen to protect it from further scratches but I don't know how long it can withhold hanging around a garage.<br /><br />Overall, it's OK. But cheaply made, and at the price point I probably could have saved $10 and bought a cheaper brand that did the same function with the same level of durability.

I use this Accusplit stopwatch for year round baseball. Like to say that the ease-of-use is excellent. Find very easy to use in getting split times from pitcher to catcher and catcher to 2nd base.

I cannot get the Split time to hold after restarting it to get the finish time. The instructions are not clearly written. The stopwatch part works well.

Great stopwatch in every way, except the red colored one I have "bleeds" red all over hot, sweaty hands, and therefore gets on clothing, etc. Other than that, it has simple, intuitive controls, highly visible numbers, and a great, tactile and audible "click" which means you don't have to look down to assure you've started or stopped the timing. If I lost it, would get another, but probably the clear-colored model.

This ACCUSPLIT Pro Survivor - A601X Stopwatch measures 2-3/8 inches wide and 3 inches high. The lanyard is about 23 inches long. The stopwatch fits into my palm perfectly. The digits are between ? inch to 7/16 inch high. They are readily visible. There are three buttons on top with the Start/Stop button on the right, the Split/Reset on the left, and the Mode button in the middle. There is a digital clock. This Accusplit does not have any memory. The user can do as many split times as he wishes between start and stop, but every time he presses the split button, the previous split time is lost. This stopwatch does what is designed to do well, but for a few dollars more, one can get a much more versatile stopwatch with lap and split time, backlight, clock, alarm, and plenty of memories. Check it out @ Ultrak 360 Stopwatch.

Sorry, it can't be just me but I am unable to program the thing to act as a watch. Stop watch works OK but other than reset, start and stop I can't make it do anything it's supposed to.

Great product but DO NOT purchase for the 5 year warranty. Warranty is to the date stamped on back of product NOT from purchase date. I received the stopwatch today, July 18th 2012. The warranty expiration date on the product is March 2013. So instead of a 5 year warranty I have a 7 month warranty. Not the biggest of deals but felt like deceptive marketing.

What I like most about this little stopwatch is the large display. As a baby-boomer who now uses reading glasses for fine print, it's refreshing to find an electronic device that can be read without glasses, so kudos to the manufacturer for that. I wish the makers of cell phones would follow suit.Reservations would be two things: the stopwatch comes with no directions. This may seem trivial, but I was confused because my old digital stopwatch had a separate timer for hours, minutes, and seconds, while this one has a clock that appears to be the same thing. So naturally, I couldn't figure out how to "start" this hour-minute-seconds timer. Turns out, however, that it is merely a clock--which is (a) an relatively unnecessary function for a stopwatch, after all, and (b) its presence precludes the ability to have the more utilitarian second-level hour-minute-second timer, which I found to be extremely useful in my work as a forensic expert.I discovered this, only by going to the manufacturer's website and downloading a PDF instruction sheet which, frankly, should have been included in the package. Nevertheless, if you just need a simple stopwatch to time laps or something, you can't beat the price.

This is a perfectly good stopwatch - if all you want to do is note your finish time, or note 1/2 finish times. But, if you want to remember split times, you'd better have pen and paper handy. Once you restart the watch following a split, there is no way to cycle through and view the split times! So, if you're trying to time multiple swimmers/runners, or if you're trying to record 25/50 split times, this is not the watch for you. Again, no fault of the manufacturer or the reviews - I should have looked more closely at the functions.
