I like the idea of the Accubat, but it just didn't work as well as I had hoped. I coach 2 travel baseball teams (11u and 14u), and was hoping to be able to place fly balls to the outfield. Unfortunately, the accubat couldn't hit it out of the infield. It would work very well for infield pop-ups, but just doesn't do the job for outfield fly balls. I also had 3 other coaches try it in case I was doing it wrong.

It came in a timely fashion.. worked very well the 1st couple weeks. That's when I noticed that the net already has a couple tires in the fabric, so I will have to replace that part, hopefully they have a upgraded one. Otherwise a good product.

Takes time to get used to hitting it. I haven't tried it much...bought it so parents can help me with practice. I find it easier to hit balls with a bat, and the kids can hear the sound of the ball coming off the bat. However, there a couple of coaches that swear by it.

The other reviewers here have it right; this is a useful tool for hitting pop-flys for your kids to catch.Unless you're pretty coordinated, it's hard to hit consistent pop-flys with a bat. Now this is not a perfect replacement- using this does take some getting used to- but all in all it's easier & more consistent than using a bat.Of course, the price for this is too high for the casual parent; if you're in that category, you could stick with an old tennis racket & tennis balls for a similar effect.
