Unlined 5 Gallon Metal Pail for Sensitive Products and Ensuring Integrity
Made of a strong 29 gauge steel body, this open head 5 gallon steel pail has a rust inhibitor primer interior* to maintain sensitive products and their integrity durably.
- General use black 5 gallon bucket for non-hazardous materials
- 5 gallon drum includes a metal bail handle with a plastic grip for easy handling and pouring
- Matching, compatible pail cover sold separately**
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Rust inhibitor applied to the interior of unlined steel containers is a primer that helps inhibit the formation of rust during transit and storage - it does not prevent rusting. Under ideal (clean, low humidity) conditions, drums with rust inhibitor can be stored for up to 30 days without rusting. If empty drums will be stored for longer periods or in higher humidity conditions, consider a phenolic or epoxy lining.

Using this with cloth diapers and it works great. I am using a reusable/washable bag with it from Nora's Nursery and it is going well. No smells emanate from it when closed.

Very appealing to the eye but the sliding lid doesn't close very easily. The way the bags are secured in the tin also seems a bit strange and I can never seem to get full use out of a bag.

I love this. The rainbows are neutral, so I think they are suitable for any baby, regardless of gender or nursery theme. It is so easy to use when your hands are full. The smell stays in the pail.

As a first time mom, engineer, and project manager, I did a LOT of research on ALLLL the baby things when preparing for our bundle of joy: Diaper pails included! I decided upon this one, and after one year of use, I still could NOT be happier with it!Features I love:1. The Lack of Stink: NO SCENT FROM DIAPERS! I'm not kidding, it is like magic. The stainless really does contain everything within. The opening is sealed by a silicone gasket that seems to do a great job. Only when my husband forgets to close it after dropping a fresh one in does it smell in the room 2. The Volume: this thing hold A TON of diapers. Not kidding. My son is one year old now and in daycare so we don't go through quite as many as in the first few months. But in months 1-6 we were going through a ton of diapers, and I never once felt like the diaper pail was ALWAYS full - it is kind of like Mary Poppin's Diaper Pail...3. The Options for Bags: you can use any bag you want! This was a big one for me, I didn't want to have to buy super special expensive bags for my diaper pail, on top of everything else for new babe. And what do you do if you run out and forget to buy more? Cry, I guess! But not with the UBBI! Any bags you want are perfect for this one. It's great Features some folks may not quite love:The opening mechanism: takes some getting used to to operate single handed. After a while you get the hang of EXACTLY how much force/momentum is needed to swing it open with one hand. It's not hard. But if you want something that is hands free or a more straightforward one-handed operation this diaper pail may not be your jam.2. The locking mechanism: I haven't used it. My baby is one year old and we don't typically let him hang out by the diaper pail, so we don't use the lock yet. Honestly, I think he could pretty easily unlock it and open the pail, so the lock may be a moot feature for us. If you're looking for a robust lock due to smart dogs or curious kids, this may not be the pail for you.That said, I would HIGHLY recommend this diaper pail! The features that aren't great were absolutely not deal breakers for me, and I completely love this pail. JUST GET IT! I've done the research for you, you won't regret it!
