I got this set with the horror set. We've played the Rory's story cubes and we've always enjoyed them and looking at these sets I could tell we'd have even more fun and the variations on the included page seem fun. Only complaint I have is that one of the dice had incomplete inking on 2 sides.. the forest and the haunted house. I took a sharpie to them and that seemed to work fine and didn't smudge. Also the box is flimsy and not work keeping considering the Rory story cubes all came with a bag for them I was a little dissapointed but not enough to not recommend these.

This game is really fun and sparks my 4 (now 5) year old’s imagination. She enjoys acting out scenes from the stories she makes up and will even make up a song. Nice large size makes it easy to see the images. The guide is also easy to follow, though most pictures are self explanatory. Although a bit too large for my daughter (5yrs) to hold, we play together so I roll 4 and she rolls 3 dice. Alternatively, I plan to make a carrier box or cup that will serve as storage and an easy-to-roll container. As others have mentioned, the box is super flimsy and won’t hold up for long. I’ve taken one star off because of the box.

I bought these to use in a writing center in my second grade class. My kids love using them as story starters. My only disappointment is that I received two of the obstacle dice and the set is missing the prize die.

So much fun- can do with younger than package recommends. Great activity before a meal when settling down as a family.
