My son is a merchant mariner and loves all things Pirate, so this seemed like a cool birthday present. I sure hope it comes out looking like the photos and description. I will update this review after he had constructed it on his next vacation from sailing.

Good engineering and rather straightforward assembly. However, a number of parts delaminated with handling. Had to apply glue and clamp and wait and hope. No visible sign of bonding agent between foam and paper design.
