...one Angora goat and they were catching halfway through the shearing. Perhaps I didnt hold them just right but by the time I got to his midsection, the blades would catch the hair and pull it, rather than give a clean cut. Need to be sharpened every 1/2 goat! He is NOT very big, poor thing.

I needed them for a ewe I had acquired, her coat is so thick they didn't do the job.Had to purchase electric clippers before I wanted to.

Take this with a grain of salt as I am inexperienced with shearing sheep, but these were not easy to use. They didn't cut through the wool easy and were actually difficult to use. We ended up buying the big electric shears which were much more user friendly.

These are awesomely sharp but they do not open very wide and if the blades are not exactly against each other it will not work. Not going to help me as much as I hoped for the purpose I bought it which is to harvest greens. Photo shows product cannot open wider than about 3 in and still cut.
