These are VERY sharp! I’m sure they are wonderful for flowers or plants. For pig hooves however, I would not suggest these. I bought these specifically for hooves and I was disappointed. They do work if you cut tiny tiny pieces at a time, however my sweet (hateful) pig was not having it.

I used on two goats the first day and had trouble after only a couple hooves. These are not good hoof trimmers. They may cut a bush or floral arrangements, but not goat hooves.

Works very well, bought to use on my draft horse's large chestnuts and ergots, these work great and are rather sturdy for price. Warning though they have very sharp/pointed ends, but like others have said they seem to become dull rather quickly after only a couple uses. Would probably buy again only because I don't have to use them very often and they were cheap.

High quality, sharp trimmers. With lock. I purchased these to trim my goats hooves but also ended up using them around the garden, they come in extremely handy.

Not for hooves! These are lousy and I'm returning them. The blades don't line up when the shears are closed, causing me to cut myself. Of course, this was after I fought with them to trim my goat kids hooves. So I'm sure there was manure on them. Really hoping my cut does not get infected. The blades were too dull to cut through hooves on a two month old goat...I went to tractor supply and picked up some that really work for $8. Bummer.

Work great to trim hooves. The blade isn't angled so you don't have to contort your wrist.

I finally ordered a new pair after my last ones just got too dull. I could have probably sharpened them but they lasted 10 years with about 25 hoof trims a year.

And yes my goat did eat the leather strap, but I don't need that anyway.

Would be a fine floral trimmer, but used on our goat hooves, the blades seemed really dull, and the spring tension seemed weak. Ended up using a different set of trimmers before even finishing one goat!
