Works exactly as intended. I purchased 1/4" quick connect fittings at my local L0wes hardware. This was used as a pre-filter to my ion-exchange resin chamber to fill my 55 gallon fish tank with tap water. After filling the tank, I connected this to my refrigerator as a 1st stage addition to the internal filter it has.
