As others have written, these are simply a couple of decorative nautical lamps which could not possibly be used as actual oil lamps. They each have a wick apparatus but I can't imagine why. The red and green glass portions are really dark and I crumpled up some aluminum foil which i stuffed inside each lamp to give them a bit more brightness!

This item is constructed of paper thin sheet metal and is pretty delicate. Having said that, you get what you pay for, so I can't complain. If you are looking for inexpensive nautical decor that isn't subject to close scrutiny, this will do fine.

Not exactly what I thought they'd look like. A bit flimsy for a oil lamp that has an actual flame. It's acceptable if your careful. Only issue is 1 of the wick mechanism doesn't rise or lower the wick. Won't let me post a picture...
