The cowl was way too large for me, even with padding in it. I bought a seperate one that fits perfect. I put the boot covers on a pair of 20 dollar black boots from walmart, and added velcro to the pants front to help hoauntletsld them on. Without the velcro they kept slipping down. The belt was not that impressive so I also replaced it with a plastic one. The hands on the gauntlets were way too big also, I cut off the glove parts and bought a set of MX style gloves which gave me back most of my dexterity in my hands, looks great too. I also painted all of the grey details in on the upper armor. A great costume if you're willing to put in a little more work on it.

The detail in the latex pieces are incredible, the gauntlets feel really good but is slightly large. I wore finger gloves underneath and seems to fit much better with them. Im about 5'9 150 pounds and the chest piece fits decently, I will have to add some velcro to make it fit a tad tighter. As for the shoulders and arms it is very loose, the shoulders are giant, will have to stuff them. The major downfall of this costume is the mask/cowl it is absurdly HUGE. I don't think any human being can fit in it even with modifications. I 100% suggest getting another cowl. Overall it is crazy cool, wish it were cheaper, $250-300 is an appropriate price. PS. SUPER FAST SHIPPING!!!!

Overall I have had a blast with this costume but it is incredibly hot and the mask is much too big for the head. Also I was a bit disappointed when some of the strings broke off when I tied it too tight. Anyways I love the costume but I did have to modify it myself to fit perfectly.

dont get me wrong, i did like this costume, and got lots of complements,BUT like other reviews, costume head is waaaay too big and i had to cut and lace to help it fit better. i didnt wear the under clothing they send you, just wore underarmour, fits better and more comfortable. i ordered a medium, im a muscular 190lb, 5'11" frame, chest arms and shoulders were still loose fitting. the cape is awesome, the latex detail is very good, gloves fit well., a fair price for the costume would be $250. i will wear it again, but will look for a better mask next halloween

Similar to other reviewers, I agree that the costume does not look as good as it costs unless it is modified to fit the wearer. I set aside the polyester body suit that comes with the costume and opted instead for an UnderArmour compression suit -- including a skull cap to make wearing the mask more comfortable. I added velcro to secure the closure on the chest-piece, and put elasticized velcro straps on the chaps to replace the flimsy laces provided. I opted for the separately-sold Dark Knight mask -- it fits perfectly right out of the box, needing only something to stiffen the ears. The gauntlets are unwearable as-is, unless you want to clean the shower with them. I added wadded up aluminum foil inside the armor spikes to stiffen them, and completely cut off the glove part. I purchased Darth Vader leather-like gloves, and used velcro to secure glove to gauntlet, so they can be put on and removed as a single unit. I also added the Dark Knight plastic belt to replace the flimsy one that comes with the costume.The boot covers are Frankenstein, not Batman, so I set them aside and used my existing pair of black Superhero Boots (also purchased from this site).It took an investment of time and several additional items to make it really work -- but I was complemented at every party I went to. Definitely *not* a last-minute effort!

It definitely helps to read all reviews on this product, as you will find the same pros and cons for the costume over and over again. This costume can look VERY good with some minor modifications and the right body type. Don't get discouraged based on pictures of people who haven't made the needed changes or don't have the body type for it in the first place.Pros:- The main pieces of the costume area heavy and solid- The level of detail on the pieces is as good, if not better than the pictures- The mask looks odd in the picture, but actually looks better from a different angle (and if you modify it to fit right)- The mask will NOT be too smallCons:- Cheap fasteners, too few of them- Parts are too big unless modified- Suit has a very strong smell and needs to be aired out before useI originally attempted to buy this suit from another site a week before Halloween, but the company was unable to ship it out overnight even though I had already paid for it. They ended up cancelling the order after days of me trying to contact them, which literally left me without a costume on the Thursday before Halloween weekend. The price was a bit more on this site, but I took a chance and bought it here and was not disappointed. The feedback and package tracking was very informative and accurate and the package showed up the very next day as I had hoped. I was originally worried that pieces may be missing since others had the issue, but I was pleased to see that everything was there and looked to be the correct size. The costume was a big hit and I have no regrets about purchasing it.If you're going to buy this costume, buy it from this site!

The costume itself looks awesome however, I needed to make several modifications before it "worked" for me. The rubber belt/leg covers are held together by cheap shoe strings that broke after trying the costume on. SoI bought thick black boot laces and re-threaded them to make it more strong. The chest portion is velcro and awesome but they should have made the leg/waist part of the custume the same way and they didn;t. I bought heavy duty strength velcro and fixed it myself and now it is AWESOME. Lastly, as others mentioned the head piece/mask is WAY to huge. You would have to be andre the giant to make it fit your head BUT with some modification it fits awesome. I used small towels to stuff the top and the back head portion of the mask and then I used 2 pairs of kid socks to stuff on the cheeks to keep the eye pieces getting to close to my face. With my modification the costume was awesome but considering the time and money I put into it, the custume should have been half the price
