Tymphany designed the TC Series TC8FD05-04 to be a cost-effective, high performance 3" speaker for installation in compact applications. Ultra-flat frequency response from 100 to 11,000 Hz is made possible by the copper pole piece cap that lowers inductance and distortion. The cone and spider helps dampen and control cone resonances for a surprising.
With a steel frame that measures less than 3-1/2" wide, this 3" driver is perfect for use in micro monitor 2-way speakers, satellite speakers, and even compact, column line array speakers. For relatively high sensitivity, a 4 ohm voice coil and powerful magnetic motor are used to increase sensitivity to nearly 85.7 dB (2.83V/1m), which is impressive for a driver of this size.
