There is not a bottom, just a try that sits on the floor, the material is flimsy and the doors/latches don't line up exactly. BUT this is a great buy for us. Our dog is so quiet and subdued in her crate so she would never try to escape. We don't even latch it at night because it has a magnet closure. We got a large size for our pug so she is able to have a bed on one side and her food/water on the other. It is her house :)

My dog busted out of the seams of her last crate, so having doors that would lock well was essential. With this crate, on the longer side with two doors, she would easily be able to push the two doors apart at the bottom where there was no locking mechanism. I added 6 additional locks at the top and bottom of each door to ensure she did not push her way through, and potentially seriously get hurt if her head were to get stuck. Other than the doors securing completely, it is a very nice crate and she has had no issues with my extra locks added.

Don't waste your money. This thing is a piece of crap. Cheap wood, latch broke before we got it together. Like another reviewer best off just flushing your money....

Assembly was easy and I like the functionality of it and the looks but is far from sturdy. The latch on the inside is mounted on the top letting gravity work against it. One tap of the door and the latch falls. Also the patches on the outside are cheesy and are held on by the tiniest of screws that are like a 1/4 inch long. Hinges are not much better. Wouldn't take much from a dog to escape or rip the latch off. I'm gonna look for something else.
