The file cabinet was straightforward to assemble. I bought 2 to serve as file cabinets/ nightstands.Like others said, they stink! They smell like they were made in a fishery! I opened windows while I assembled them. I considered assembling them in the garage but they are too heavy. It's been several days and the odor is still strong. I can't even use them because I don't want my files to stink.

This is a quality made cabinet. My husband commented a couple times while building it what a nice cabinet it is and the quality is good. Unfortunately, when he got to putting the sides on the drawers, one of the pieces of wood was broken in two places. I went online to order a replacement, but due to supply chain issues, it was going to take up to a couple of weeks and we needed it right a way. He decided to glue the wood pieces together and hope it works. A little disappointed. Also, I don't know where this cabinet came from, but the box had a terrible smell to it. We moved it inside out house and then left for about an hour and a half and when we came back out entire lower level smelled horrible like the box. Unfortunately it was a 90 degree day and humid, so we couldn't open windows to air out the house. Really disappointing.

Wifey was looking for a small file cabinet for her home office. After a very long process of elimination, she settled on this one. She asked if I would assemble it when it showed up. I said of course, happy wife happy life. After opening the box I noticed a very strong smell, I figured it would go away in a bit. I finished assembly, placed it in Wifey's office closed the door and called it good, boy was I wrong. The smell managed to creep out from under the door, we went into the room and the file cabinet is now on the back porch until the smell diminishes.BTW; the file cabinet was in the room for a day and is going on a week on the porch.

Once I had assembled the filing cabinet together I really appreciated it. It takes a while to understand what to do and once one understands then one must be patient as it takes an elderly person like myself even longer to assemble. Next time I shall understand the instructions. For me it was worth it. The portable book cases from the same company were much easier to assemble and look very nice too.

This would be a pretty good product if it was boxed with better material. They use cheap Styrofoam for most of the packaging, and the plastic protective sheeting was mostly torn and not in place. They use a good quality foam for the bottom of the box, then really nasty Styrofoam every where else. Almost every piece of foam was broken and shredded. Creating a complete mess when opened. The box was in fairly good condition, but the parts were rubbing against each other and caused scuffing of the finish. If this was to be used in a place where its easily visible, you wouldn't want it.Assembly was easy and straight forward, it is sturdy when assembled, I also glue these with good quality carpenters glue and put wieggt on them until it's dry.I wouldn't recommend this item.

The cabinet seem a little bigger than expected However the quality of painting (the person needs to pay attention to detail) overall it's a good buy as long as your not expecting top quality.

This piece went together easily, being older that's important to me. It is difficult to seat the larger drawers with just one person as they are heavy. This cabinet has lots of room it held everything from a large lateral file and a regular size drawer. I was impresses.

It's a good cabinet for the price. The packaging was annoying and the screws for the handles are short, but other than that it is good.

The file cabinet was straightforward to assemble. I bought 2 to serve as file cabinets/ nightstands.Like others said, they stink! They smell like they were made in a fishery!
