This mini chocolate fountain definitely works. Yes it is small. Yes it takes a lot of effort to clean. And yes you have to do some planning. But if you do some basic things you can definitely get a lot of use out of it.

For starters, I'm kind of shocked some people want it to be bigger. How many people are you planning to serve? I think that even though this is small this is definitely big enough to serve a party of even 15 or 20 people. If you are looking to run a catering event, then you will need a more professional piece of equipment. But for a family gathering this is more than enough.

It's also not a surprise to me that this was difficult to clean after the first use. It circulates melted chocolate so that just seems obvious to me. But it wasn't too onerous. It was just like cleaning any kitchen appliance. Your mileage may vary.

One small note. In the instructions they say to melt the chocolate before adding it to the fountain. Out of laziness and curiosity, I added the chocolate in the bottom and sure enough it will indeed melt the chocolate and circulate it if you are patient enough.

CONCLUSION

This product is a pretty good option for people that just want to set up a chocolate fountain at their family gathering. Don't use just any chocolate. Plan on getting the chocolate that is made for use in this kind of fountain. But as long as you do that you should have a pretty good experience.

The chocolate fountain was easy to use, the chocolate does not flow all the time and can get a bit lumpy. However, it was not easy to clean after each use.
