If u do not know how to use a compass navigate after reading this manual, stay out of the wilderness if u do not have access to a guide or Park Ranger.

I can't comment on the contents of this book. I am unable to read it without the use of a magnifying glass. It may have valuable content but it was printed very cheaply to conserve pages and reduce cost of printing. The fonts are about 5 pt, just a guess the fonts may be smaller. I can read it with a magnifying glass but I won't. The seller should have put this warning on the description page; 34;You must be 16 or 18 years old with better than perfect vision in order to read this book. If you wear glasses or can't read microscopic print do buy this book your own risk.34; I wasted my money.

A straight forward, and well organized intro to land navigation. You could be lost in the forest with no knowledge of land navigation, and be able to navigate out using this book.

This is a really good book. Teaches reading a compass and navigating threw the bush or wherever really well. My grand kids have started using it.
