I purchased one in 2014 and it is still working well, maintaining a health temperature. I have since bought a second tank. Two other heaters made from other brands were purchased for the second tank and both died or became very inaccurate after being used for much less time. Buying another today.

I haven't used this yet as I am waiting until tank cleaning time to switch.I chose because of the ability to set the temperature on my own and the one I have is so old. This one does look well made and the diameter is narrower so it won't take up as much space. It's also a descent looking item as far as tank heaters go.Will update review once I've had this in the tank for a couple weeks.

With this heater is hard to get a Precise temp. The heat doesn't dry in my tank well but I think that has a lot to do with not having a lid. I've been trying to get it to 78 but it's super hard to get it just right it's either 80 or 70-76

This heater malfunctioned and killed all of our fish. What an awful feeling seeing your fish dead and floating knowing they were heated to death. The water temperature was hotter than our thermometer could gauge. My kids were devastated. I cannot say enough negative comments on this product.

The ease of temprature control is simple and I actually like the look of it. I bought one for my 5 gallon and liked it so much I bought another for my 10 gal Nano.
