I have used 2 of them for about 2 years. I have had to replace both batteries and had to drill the screws out to get the back off. It tears up the back and but you can hot glue it back in place. One of them just quit for no reason yesterday in the middle of timing a race. If 2 finishers come in right together, the paper tape printing unit can't keep up with them and will skip the second one. The information does reside in the machine still though. The software to get results into a computer is not "vetted" by Microsoft and all kinds of scary warnings pop up. It does eventually work though after you find a COM port it likes. The formatting is odd and I have to go through about a 15 step process to get results to a standard 1:23:45 format. There is no "idiot" lock out on the stopwatch START/STOP button so I made a raised cover out some out of Sculpy Clay and hot glued them to the top of the watch. Then you start and stop the watch with a key.Because I have the printer, I am getting ready to buy another one now and hope for better luck than with the last two. Maybe the manufacturer got smarter.

Would be better if pressing lap button caught the next split while reviewing previous laps. Nothing happens if you are reviewing the other laps and press the lap button though.

First off, I have an earlier version of this watch when it had a 500 lap memory. This is a great stopwatch. I use this watch primarily for track work and it does everything I want it to. The memory is segmented meaning each event recorded with all the time splits is separate from another event with its splits. The events recorded have dates which is wonderful when you wish to review the history. The button placements and their functions are laid out well. On some other watches, I would need to flip the watch over to activate the buttons in the correct sequence when I was doing self timing. The buttons continue to be reliable as I have put them through thousands of clicks.I found this watch is fairly intuitive to use although you may need to read the manual for some of the more obscure functions.Having a huge memory allows you to accumulate lots of data before you need to down load it. Although it has a port for down loading data, I have not used it so I can't comment on it.This review is on the older version but will update on the new watch when I rotate it in for usage.
