I'm obsessed with this thing! It's such a comfort to have this kit backpacking, bike camping, or just regular camping. Not the most compact set but I never regret bringing it along!

Aluminum pans heat and cool very fast. Be sure to use plenty of oil or Pam when cooking to prevent sticking. Simmer ring does work for adjusting heat. Everything is well made and just 34;WORKS34;! I would buy again, however I'm 65 and this stove will still be going strong long after me.

My Dad bought our Trangia 25 in 1980 when he was a Scout leader and took it on many hiking trips and camps. It usually boiled the kettle faster than the gas stoves on hikes as the more windy it is the better it works!! 30 years later with all ORIGINAL parts it is STILL working well, although it has acquired a few dents dings over the years. We used it while camping just last week and again it boiled the kettle faster than gas! The compact design of this cook set makes it easy to pack and carry. The original burner is prone to leaking so we always make sure the burner is empty before packing up, which easily solves the problem. We have had a number of gas cookers for camping over the years, but we have always packed the Trangia as a reliable back-up should the gas run out, ourTrangia has out lasted all of our gas cookers and been easier to use pack. It's a shame they don't make a larger model for family camping, but If this Trangia EVER stops working and replacement parts are unavailable I wouldn't hesitate in getting another!!!!
