Here in Paso Robles, the temperatures go over 100 in the summer. 90 degree temperatures are average. This cap worked better than I expected. Especially when there was a breeze. There were times when I had to take it off when I start getting a headache because my neck got too cold. That said, in 100 degree heat, it doesn't last the advertised 5-10 hrs. Maybe an hour before I need to wet it again. Still it really does keep me cool. Dunking it in water every hour isn't much trouble considering the relief I get.
