Easy to read

I had a simple Radio Shack indoor outdoor wired thermometer for almost 30 years and it still works but I wanted to find a replacement for it since it's old and sometimes the indoor temp doesn't work and it's not easy to read unless I'm right up on it. I initially purchased a Baldyr and I've had it for a year or so but really hated it the entire time because it's too difficult to use and it wasn't accurate at all. I finally took the plunge and ordered this Taylor and WOW, I couldn't be more pleased. I don't need a clock or alarms or anything other than to be able to read the current indoor and outdoor temp. I just activated the battery, put the probe through my window, under my screen and then hung it about 6 or 7 feet on a nail under my eve on my deck in a shady location. I think this Taylor has other functions you can set but I'm not interested. My only grip is that I hate having to change lithium batteries. I never keep them available like other batteries. They really don't last that long ( my watches die in a year) and you have to unscrew the compartment to replace it. Other than that, I am so pleased and this thermometer is extremely accurate and SO EASY to read from across the room. NICE!!!!

Nice thermometer, seems to be quite accurate. Setting buttons are on back of unit, would prefer them to be on the front. It takes a small pancake battery, would prefer an AAA battery for convenience, but not a big deal. It displays high and low readings for the day which is a nice feature. Only had it for a week or 2 now, but am satisfied with my purchase.

the outdoor indoor thermo, is a fine solution to getting inside and outside air temp all with one battery. We did place ours outside a 2nd floor window under a soffit where ice and snow will not get to it. It very easily fits under tight screens. Amazing!It immediately displayed both temps which did match other therm or phone temp outside. LED is easy to read but does not have a backlit screen so a light must be on. Your choice regarding which temp you want to have as a priority. Once chosen thattemp will be in very large readout and the other visible in smaller font readout. Can do C and F temps. Just GREAT

I especially like that it records the high and low temperature for the day.

I can't get the battery compartment to open.

Pretty reliable device but replacing batteries is almost impossible. The batteries are in a cartridge, which is secured to the unit by a tiny screw. I have a jeweler's screwdriver, and even then it was tough. The screw was ruined. I then had to pry open the casing. But once done, it snapped back in. I didn't replace the screw it seems to be just fine.

For what I want from a thermometer, this does the job. Outdoor, indoor temps. And a really nice feature is the outdoor high and the low temps that reset at the end of each day.

Taylor works great and reads perfect here in the Southwest desert, even when we hit those 110 temps.
