Soft and flexible rubber sheath like what I'm replacing on my Dewalt miter saw. I don't expect this one to get stiff in cold weather.

I like the fact that the outer coating is thicker than cheap tool cords and that the plug prongs are solid metal instead of folded brass that doesn't last as long. This is a more expensive cord, but worth the money in quality. I have bought several in my tool repair business

We had an oil heater that the cord had wire showing and was shorting out. We bought this cord and my husband wired it on the oil heater. It works perfect and I feel so much safer as this cord is much better than the original.

Works great. Bought it because the return spring broke and I ended up cutting the cord in half. I guess I'm lucky I didn't cut my leg in half, so I ain't complaining. Same diameter and texture as the factory cord for much less than an OEM replacement. Also, to expound on the texture, this is a soft, flexible rubber cord, not that stiff plasticy crap. The plug is nice and grippy, too.Definitely worth it, but I do feel kinda stupid because it wasn't until about 10 seconds after I'd installed it that I realized I could've just cut the original cord at the damaged spot and reused what I already had. Sure, I'd have lost a couple feet, but what difference does it make since even at full length you still need an extension cord.Well, whatever. It's a good saw that's served me well for a lot of years and it deserved a brand new cord just on general principle.

Wire gauge was the same as the old cord, but the outer diameter was a bit smaller. I tied a knot in the wires to make sure it did not pull out of the strain relief/boot and also used contact cement to glue the cord inside the strain relief/boot. I'm back in business!

Worked perfect for replacement of an undersized cord that came with a deep fryer. Was able to put the connector from the old cord onto this one. Much heavier and durable.

The powercord on my 4 Craftsman Angle Grinder gave out. After all the work of diagnosing the problem, I decided to just take off the last foot until I reached the working remains. When it got down to an unacceptable length I ordered this replacement cord. A slightly heaver duty so I really had to soap the end to get it thru the strainrelief but no it is flexible in the winter!

A good heavy cord. Heavier than the factory cord on my Bosch circular saw. The companion strain relief (not included) works well but is a tight fit. Highly recommended.

I ordered this cord to replace the original cord on our Cuisinart toaster oven (the 1800 watt versions have problems with the original cord overheating). This new cord, being nine feet in length was a little too long for our needs, so I cut it down to six feet. The rewiring was straight forward, and it works like a charm. Even after extended periods at high heat (450 degrees), this new cord remains cool to the touch. Another nice thing about this cord is the fact that it is quite pliable, despite its' robust design and nice, thick outer, and inner insulation. Finding a cord like this (14 gauge with a two pronged polarized plug) can be difficult. So, if you have an application which requires this particular type of cord, then you cannot go wrong in purchasing this one. I highly recommend it!
