It scares would-be intruders away by imitating the sound of a vicious barking dog (or an alarm) whenever someone approaches. I'm a property manager in Tahoe and this works for keeping bears from breaking in, wouldn't use it to trick humans its obviously not a high quality speaker playing the cheap sounding recording and for the price it should be. But it is cheaper and faster than installing electrical bear barriers or having a bear break in.

Very nice, great sound, almost sound real. Would recommend this item to anyone needing security deterrent. Like how motion sensor even picks up movement on the other side of a door

I have been looking for a barking dog alarm for a long time. Others I had heard didn't quite sound like a real dog. This one is great. My neighbor thought I had gotten a German Shepherd. It also can be set to sound like a doorbell or an alarm. The volume can make the sound extremely loud so I have my volume set a bit lower.
