I bough this for my dad and here is his review.The reviews are real, Fakespot says so and I believe. I punctured my left eardrum, formerly my good ear, in December of 2023 and was scheduled to have it repaired, but due to interesting circumstances, my surgery was delayed. I have a high deductible HSA insurance plan and the surgery would likely have cost over $6000 out of pocket. I will be on Medicare in January of 2026 so I asked my ENT if I could just wait and get a hearing aid in the interim. He said I could and suggested Costco and sort of poo-pooed OTC hearing aids. OTC's cost a bunch less. I started looking around and found the CS50. The reviews looked good and after the 50 off coupon, it was $40 before tax, how far wrong could I go?It comes with 2 batteries which easily last the whole day if I need to wear it the whole day. It increases the sounds around me, especially voices. Since my left ear was my good ear, it's great to hear in stereo again. It is a little quirky with certain sounds like tinkling silverware and crinkling plastics but that seems very normal for Bluetooth headsets. My Plantronics phone headset has the same issue when someone on the other end makes certain sounds.It also doubles as a phone headset but is lacking in that area. The volume cannot be increased as much as I would like and the mic is not great and has no noise cancelling. In quite environments it is adequate.Overall, it's about the best $40 I have ever spent. In 2026 I will get my eardrum repaired, but for the moment, this has been a fabulous and economical solution.

I lost my hearing 15 years ago in my right ear.And i'm starting to lose hearing in my left ear. I needed a product that could amplify and provide bluetooth for my left ear only. This product is Amazing. I have crystal clear hearing. The unit is comfortable and is made with very high quality materials. I like how the wire over the ear is adjustable. It actually clicks into place. I can use it all day without recharging. The second battery however is a good backup. I can now watch TV Without caption. I went to the theater.Broadway. With the different settings I could hear everything. I am so happy to have this product and I would recommend it highly.

This was to replace a Bluetooth hearing aid and I didn't miss a beat. Works like the more expensive types. The battery life is amazing x 2.It comes with two easy to swap rechargeable batteries. After one is low battery, put it back to charge and use the fully charged one.

These Sound World devices are great if you have to deal with different situations in which you want phone connectivity, and are also dealing with a location in which the volume of what you want to hear at the location is low and the ambient noise a problem.

These should be more well known. The fact that they boost hearing and function as an effective headset for my phone is awesome. My hearing loss is pretty moderate and I have tinnitus. These devices work to amplify sound in the direction youre looking at and they have a bit of equalization going on. When they shut off, I can still hear, but everything sounds muddier, or dull. For me, it means I can make out the words more clearly when Im wearing them.I get about 12 hours out of a new battery, which slowly degrades over 6 to 10 months. When they get to about half their original life I buy a new set.In my opinion the earpiece case could be a little more robust, Ive broken a couple. Customer service patched me up a couple times, they were great.I love being able to take calls without dragging the phone out of a pocket and theyre perfect for podcasts and audio books since they dont require stereo.I like them and I hope they keep improving them.

I've just purchased a third one of these (the other two eventually became less effective over time). Compared to the price of a hearing aid, this is a great buy. I use it not to amplify sound but to boost sounds in the upper registers so I can hear consonants clearly, particularly when I go to the theater. It works beautifully.

I just received this item. It's great. Excellent sound quality, comfortable to wear. It comes with 2 batteries, so one should always be charged. I have had a few hearing aids. Some OTC, some from high end makers. This one is the best value yet.

I just received the second one, the first got lost in travel. This hearing device is a great help. Does in completely restore hearing? No. But Does it make day to day hearing better? Yes. Does it make restaurants and theater more enjoyable? Absolutely.

This was working straight out of the box. Very simple to set up and use. In less than five minutes it was in my ear and working great. If I could give this product 10 stars I would. It is crystal clear and no annoying background sounds. It fits great in my ear and is very secure. I have tried other hearing products including hearing aids from a doctor, this beats them all hands down. If I had the money I would order another one tomorrow for my right ear. If you are trying to decide and want to really hear better this is your product. I have mild to moderate hearing loss. I am one happy girl right now! I love this product and so does my husbandhe is not having to repeat everything he says!

even if your insurance pays a portion of the cost of an "official" hearing aid you will likely spend 3-4 times more, than for this remarkable product and you'll likely have to fiddle with expensive non-rechargeable batteries. as a bonus this simply looks, and functions, like modern phone gear no embarrassment in that. i've used this product for close to 10 years i've replaced it 5 times, due mostly to forgetful showering when it got soaked however the rain or sweat have never effected it do endeavor to keep it dry. this is a fantastic device for an affordable price say goodbye to expensive doctor visits for "adjustments" you can do this all on your own with your phone! God bless the manufacturers the are doing a real service to all who are hard of hearing.

I struggle with my ears. I've worn hearing aids for twenty-five years. I tend to try everything when it comes out. The CS50 is a very good hearing device. It's comfortable. All day comfortable. I wear it in my left ear and a regular hearing aid in my right ear. This let's me take phone calls on the go. I can hear the caller very clearly and they say they can hear me clearly too. (as long as it's not too noisy in the background)I can't comment on service, because I didn't need any setting it up. I'm going to use it hard, so I'll find out one day. One thing I wish, but I think regulations govern my wish. Max volume is 12db. I could use another notch or two. The regulators know better than I do how much volume I need.Buy one, its a great price. I'm going to get another one.

I now have had the hearing amplifier for some six months and i am completely revising my earlier opinion especially since in between I tried A$7000 hearing aid. Both the sound quality and the app compares favorably to hearing aid. It is very visible but I view this as an advantage. I want people I talk to to know that I have hearing problems and am not a dimwit. It is a bit clumsy but I found. It easier to install than the hearingaid.i only wish that the batteries would last to rather than 10.

I have hearing problems in my left ear due to an illness, so this device magnifies sounds and that's exactly what I need. I can now hear people talking to me when I'm out walking. It's great in restaurants and it also improves my ability to hear the TV and my husband :-) The batteries charge quickly and having 2 batteries is great.It's important to install the app and get your device set up correctly. It made a big difference for me.

Don't spend thousands on a real hearing aid until you try this one.Although my hearing's not great in either ear, wearing it in just the one ear was good enough to really make a difference. I only wear it some times during the day so battery life is never an issue.

Purchased the hearing aid for my partner who had moderate hearing loss. Overall happy with the performance. There are some getting used to, but works pretty well most of the time. The restaurant mode is especially helpful! The hearing aids one can get through working with a audiology cost five or six times more than this. So this really is a great alternative.

I just got this last night, so still in the 'figure it out' stage. This is my first experience with a hearing amplifier, so while it's not complicated I'm still sorting it all out. It was simple enough to set up which is nice. When I was done fiddling with the settings, I wasn't really sure how much it helped...until I took it out at the end of the night. The physical sense was of removing an earplug, the auditory sense was of my ear being plugged.Time will tell if it holds up to first impressions, but for today 5 stars!
