Very well made, sturdy and handy. Excellent for sanding and shaping wood products. Used for making toys. Adjusts to many different angles. Easy to install a new sanding belt. I use mine without having to bolt it to the bench.

ilove skill products. as a Prosumer they fit my needs. i think i got about 7 different Skill tools already and they all work great ! this Sander als does a great job sanding ,but sadly i do have a problem with it. after the 3rd use i noticed that it was no longer blowing the sawdust into the Dust collection although i can still feel a strong wind current coming out of it. the dust just blows out from the side making a mess (of me the most ) . i removed the side to see if there was any clogging ,but i could not find any. and the the air is blowing freely true it to the dust collector so i don't get it. i'm afraid of using it too long thinking this might heat it up or something. i will maybe try to remove both sides to see if i can find anything. it's a bit annoying to use it like this now . if i find the problem and it is not a design flaw i will update my review to 5 stars.

Skil belt sander worked pretty good for what I needed it for. Used it to sand a solid hickory bar top and matching floating shelves. Started with 40 grit, then 60, then 80, then 120. Each time I used it I got the same results. The 120 grit belt worked the best. With the 120 it actually sanded more off in less time than any of the 40, 60, or 80. The attached filter captured a lot of dust, but its a belt sander so there was also a lot that didn't make it into filter cannister. It was definitely worth the price I paid for it.

This product sands good, no problems. However, when I place the sander on the wood with no pressure applied the yellow light comes on and it shouldn't. Also, you can't clean the filter in the cannister. You can empty the cannister, but the filter is still covered in wood dust. This will lead to problems. The back of the canister should snap off to clean the filter but it's sealed. Otherwise, it's an OK sander, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I was surprised about this product it takes a long time to finish it but it works as he should I just hope it last longer but for now it works for me
