This is a well made sprayer. I was shooting lacquer sanding sealer and white semi-gloss with 1.4 nozzle. The finish was great.

Can't really say it paints any better than my previous Harbor Freight purple gun that cost me about $15, but it appears to be made of higher quality materials and has metal parts vs. plastic for the HF gun

I have been extremely pleased with the performance of this sprayer. I have sprayed professionally in a dedicated spray booth with professional equipment and this gun certainly does not match the quality of that equipment but it is not thousands of dollars either. I am currently using it in my small garage shop with a 40 gallon tank air compressor and it runs well above my expectations. I've used several other siphon guns and HVLP spray guns with very unsatisfactory results. The main issue that I have had in the past is not being able to get enough volume of spray out of the gun. This is directly linked to the thickness of the finish and the size of the orifice in the spray gun. Most spray guns have a 1-1.4mm tip which in my experience is not enough to spray water based polyurethane which is what I primarily use. The 1.8 mm tip on this gun handles water base polyurethane very well. I also have found that the air control capabilities of this gun are better than others that I have used. The only reason that I have given this gun four stars rather than five is because the gun came with a dent in the metal cup. It is still usable and not a big concern for me. Overall I'd highly recommend this gun for anyone wanting to spray water-based polyurethane.

Love these guns.. layed down this beautiful pearl with an under powered compressor.. 1034; pattern no striping.. absolutely amazing for the price i have 3 of them.. one for sealer one for topcoat and one for clear... all different nozzle size of course.. great buy for the garage hobbyists.. i do production with sata guns and these work great for home/hobby use!

It was my first time doing auto painting with an actual spray paint gun. I was using a $100 (6-gallon) DeWalt air compressor that might have been a little small because my gun air pressure kept dropping below 30psi. Surprisingly this gun still did a great job. I had my gun set to 30psi but I suspect higher psi might yield even better results. Wear a high quality spray paint mask and make sure to tighten it as much as possible. The paint store warned me that the clear coat is highly toxic for your lungs.

HammerCustomDrums.com 2 years of use, zero issues. I am a drum builder, I use PPG automotive products, catalyzed urethane mostly. This is my go to gun, its size is perfectly suited for musical instruments. I can attest, all negative reviews, save manufacturer defects, are due to lack of skills as a painter. This gun will lay down clear coat like glass like any high end gun. Best Buy for the money. For a medium and light duty job, or hobby painter who don't need the extreme durability, this gun will do it all. Comes in a large selection of tip sizes to accomplish most paint jobs.
