I loved using this new medium, it is darker than crayon but is also blendable. These do not have to be heated to use nor do they smear by laying on another picture. These are recommend for beginners. There is no need to spray a fixer so they won't fade or smear. They are less messy than chalk pastels. There is no need for a spray fixer to dry them as they are a dry medium.

I was given a small pack of Craypas when I was like 10 years old. Unfortunately I am unable to get my hand to physically create the beautiful images I see in my head, but thesethey make you feel like an artist. I'm 36 now and I still have my original pack AND I still use them and I still love them. The picture: I made this for my grandfather when he was in the hospital the 4th quarter of 2021. I taped it to the wall and it brightened his hospital room and he loved it. He passed away June 2022. The photo isn't the best/most accurate showcase of the colors, I should have taken another picture in a brighter area. It looked a lot better in person :)

These are not top-of-the-line oil pastels but they are great for the price. The sticks are small/thin.. about the size of a crayon but not as long. They do apply color smoothly but smudging was a bit harder to do. I prefer a different brand but bought these because of the price. This is one of those, You get what you pay for. It's affordable. It gets the job done. You could probably find better quality but these are functional and perfect for a young artist.
