One caution: both of mine came with two of the t-screws attached holding the cap on (the rest were in a plastic bag). The screws were torqued down at the factory that they were hard to remove for installation without stripping. I had to drill one out. I installed on a 95 Geo Tracker. They work great so far. There are a lot of videos out there saying grease up your lockers. DO NOT GREASE inside of hub.

Item came fast and as described. Installation is very quick (5 minutes per side). These come pre greased so you dont even have to buy axle grease. They will sick out a couple inches further than stock wheels. Mine have backspacing that covers them so not an issue for me. These immediately made my mpg go up. Im running on 31 tires with steel wheels and still getting 20mpg bc of these. Plus less wear and tear on my front axles and suspension. Its a win win for me. Highly recommend these bc of quality and price. Mpg went from 18-20 WITH 31 tires

An easy install on a 2004 Chevy Tracker. The SUV drives better with the axles disengaged.They lock and unlock easily.It's hard to tell, but it doesn't feel like these provide a very deep engagement with the splines. I haven't noticed them slipping out though.The worst thing is the chrome started peeling pretty quickly. Chrome never lasts on wheels, so why use it?? Powder coat it or anodize it or treat it so it doesn't look like junk after one season.

Received locking hubs faster than expected. They appear to be really good quality and even though I'm slow and take a lot of pains with the install , they were on in about an hour. Installed on a 2003 Chevy Tracker.

I replaced my auto locking hubs on a 1997 4dr sidekick jx 4x4. You will need to hit the hardware store and purchase the next size shorter (whatever that is, I can't remember, just take an old one with you), as the original bolts that hold the locking hubs to the vehicle are a little too long due to the flange being a little thinner than the OEM auto locking hubs. I picked up 12 of them for under $5, so, no big deal. (These do come with the bolts that hold the two pieces of the locking hubs together, those are all correct sizes-again, it's the hubs to vehicle bolts that need to be replaced. They also come with new gaskets for hub to vehicle mounting.)Other than that, they fit great, seem to operate just as they should.I am SO happy to get rid of those automatic locking hubs with these manual locking hubs. Now I can tow it, and...a HUGE and here....I can move it if the engine isn't running, for whatever reason....That was a horrible experience. Starter went out, and I couldn't even move the vehicle at ALL with automatic locking hubs on it, what were they thinking?!?You will be MUCH happier swapping them for a set of these manual locking hubs, as they will allow the front wheels to free spin.Less wear on the 4wheel drive components, you KNOW they are locked when you lock them and know they are unlocked when you unlock them, and it's no big deal to get out to manually turn the dial for all the added benefits.Quality seems good, operates smoothly, it's easy to twist them to lock and unlock.Unknown longevity, as I haven't had them long at this point, but, I'm super happy with them so far!Yep, I'm doing the happy dance...you can't see it, and be thankful!So long factory automatic locking hubs! you were about as useful as banana flavored spam!
