The battery compartment was a little tricky to get into, required c batteries, the plastic is flimsy, the side got dented when i was puting the battery in, its a fun prop, nice and bright

First of all ,for the price - I'm happy with the product. It's cheap and is a great prop. However we haven't been able to get it to work (light up) yet. The quality is actually quite good for the price, definitely good enough for young children to play with.

I bought this to go with Harry Potter costume and my kids love it. It is made of plastic but it was perfect for my then 4 yr old. It was lite to carry gave off a nice light and was perfect for the price. We have had it for a year now and we are just now starting to have problems with it not wanting to always come on, but it has been through a lot and I'm surpised it has made it this long. We might have to get another one since my two little boys that are 5 and 2 love it so much.

Small, but cute. Just enough light for my little Harry Potter to trick or treat. Makes a great night light too!

Light doesn't always turn on, but it is loads of fun for my son.

When I was in the market for (Hermione) accessories, I read reviews that labeled this product as "flimsy" and "too small". The fact that this was light and smaller than an adult size lantern are the two best aspects of it. My daughter was able to take the lantern with her to school and trick-or-treating, without complaining of its size. It was NOT flimsy, just made of light plastic. We had no problems at all with it. In fact, she still uses it before bed, as it emits a nice, soft glow. It's great for winding down, and possibly keeping away the Dementors (so I hear...).

This really is a cute little plastic item. I love when you can make part of their costume light up for safety at night. The one problem was it was really hard to get the bottom off to put the batteries in. You end up just having to pry it off while praying that you don't break it. After you get the batteries in and find it works you will be happy. ;)

Fabulous!!! Great addition to my center pieces for my 5yr old son. Party was a hit.

We bought loads of HP costume and party items but this was hands down one of my daughter's favorites-as a small child she has only seen the early HP movies and she loved being able to use one similiar to what the kids carried into the dark forest. Its a nice addition to the costume since it is much more in character than a flashlight although it does not cast enough light to see much by but helps make them more visable. One note, check the dimensions, it is a bit smallish- I suspect to make it easier for small children to carry,which made it perfect for us but it might be too small for older kids.
