Purchased a new flag and the grommets fell apart out of the package. Purchased this kit which showed up the next day and worked as it should.

I used this grommet tool to put grommets on a couple of old sheets. I can now cover my plants without the wind blowing the sheets off when there's a danger of frost. A few bungee cords and tent stakes are all I need.

I used this to repair a couple tarps and add grommets to a couple pairs of leather work gloves since I lose them constantly. Now with grommets installed, I hook a carabiner on them and hang them up. It's very intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that the cutting die, for lack of a better term, wasn't very sharp and so I really had to beat on it with a mallet and even then finished cutting the circle with my pocket knife. I'm guessing that's just a one off issue. Some are probably sharp and some dull. But it gets the job done. And at a good price.

This is a very heavy duty grommet tool. My only complaint is it did come with a fair amount of grease on it, so handling it got quite messy right off. It worked for what I needed it to, though, once I got it cleaned up.

Hard to mess up unless you hit it too hard. I used a small plastic hammer and still almost overdid it on fitting the two pieces together. Sleeve is also sharp enough to not need much force force cutting material also. Always used this brand for years because it always works without problems.

but I am only giving Four stars because I received fourteen grommet bases (with the stem) and ten tops. So, I ended up with ten complete grommet assemblies. The anvil, hole cutter and punch worked arrived fine with a light coat of oil present. The one and a quarter inch square hardwood block is amusing and might make it through installation of my ten grommets, but I was not planning to use it anyway. Four stars is fair considering I only received 83 of the grommets advertised.
