As many other smart consumers have stated, the calorie count isn't the best per serving. However, considering the price point this is a no-brainer purchase. I'm not rich but I can afford to purchase a 30 day supply on a monthly basis. Whether or not you want to consider a 300 calorie serving as one of 3 meals a day doesn't matter so much when you factor the shelf life and that this is a survival purchase, not a dietary fulfillment. I can budget a 30 day supply bucket every month, if the time comes that I need to feed my family with these supplies I don't care about the manufacturers recommendations of what a serving is, I will have enough to keep stomaches full for a long long time. I don't care to make a 30 day supply last 30 days, for the price it can last 10 days comfortably and 20, maybe 30 days in a life or death scenario. My family will be fed for many months comfortably and to me that's the end of the consideration.

I had one small issue. One bucket out of four order did not arrive. I called the company and without any hassle they sent the last bucket. Great job guys! I have eaten their products on camping trips and they are high quality. I just order fur more buckets today.

First of all, I ordered 3 buckets and they sent 2 buckets and a first aid kit.Second, as others have said, this is not an MRE type product. 95 of the meals are some form of dried pasta with a powdered flavor packet (essentially equivalent to ramen noodles).Third, the bucket and title of the product says “emergency FOOD” 124 servings per bucket.It's not clear that only 64 of those servings are actual meals. The rest of the 124 are orange drink mix and desserts. They don't make this clear even in the fine print.Fourth, the description leads you to believe that 1 serving = 1 meal, and they base the timeline on this. However, each “serving” is about 200 to 250 calories. So I'm truth, each bucket is only enough calories for one person for about 6 days. Much less than advertised.Finally, for what it is, it's a huge ripoff. You are basically paying $40/day for the equivalent of ramen noodles or a Knorr pasta packet.Makes me wonder what else in the description is false and if the 25 year shelf life is even real.

These are unique in the number of servings and variety of flavors. High calories, light weight easy packaging and maneuverability. But overall for the same amount of money you could get three times the amount of food if you did it all yourself. Otherwise it's a fantastic product.
