Item was just as I expected. Works great, the magnets are very strong and can carry even the heaviest of coats.

Magnet is strong enough to attach to any of our metal cabinets or whiteboards. Have purchased this several times before.

That base plate adheres strongly to any metal surface. I use it on the side of a tall file cabinet in work. It definitely can take the weight of any winter coat, including my parka.What I didn't like was the hanger itself, which is too light-weight plastic in my opinion. I replaced that with a standard metal-framed wooden hanger. So that's why 4 stars rather than 5 from me.

I use this to hang my suit coat on a metal filing cabinet in my office. The magnet is plenty strong (it even holds a heavy overcoat with no sign of giving up). I think this is a better solution than hanging a coat on the back of a chair, and it's certainly more affordable than a coat rack.

This is one of the best product I've seen in a while. It's attractive, very functional and well made. I use it on a file cabinet to hang a heavy jacket with no problems.

In my situation, there's a gigantic metal filing cabinet, similar to the one shown in the picture of this product, right next to my desk in my office. That is exactly where this hanger found it's place. The magnet is extremely powerful and upon placing it I had trouble moving it around because it gripped so powerfully. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a storage solution to their coats (especially long, duster or winter coats like my own). It could be used for home or office but you must have some kind of metallic object big enough to "stick" the magnet onto. The hanger it comes with seems a little tacky, but you can always use the hook itself with another hanger.
