I have been using this type of envelope for years, but this is a new brand and I didn't know how it would compare to others I have used.<br /><br />One major reason I use these is that there are tear resistant. They also have the First Class Mail logo all over them, and since I have had problems in the past with slow delivery when using manila envelopes, I thought these might be better. Since I switched to these late deliveries of mail have become a thing of the past.<br /><br />In addition, I use these for storage of important papers, such as tax information that has to be kept safe. They are nearly impossible to rip open and are about as water proof an envelope as you will ever find, so they are perfect for the task.<br /><br />I can't say enough good things about these envelopes and will be buying them in the future.

I mail photographs in these tyvek envelopes. I add chip board for firmness. Regular paste board mailers weigh 4oz empty. I mail 80% of my orders at 3oz total. Postage is not cheap anymore.

Just as I expected. These are great for mailing.<br />You have to be a little careful using an inkjet printer to print directly on the envelope.<br />My ink bled a little in humidity because these envelopes are meant to repeal moisture.

didn't know what tyvek was.. ! (my bad) anyway it is a good envelope but its not paper. good seal.
