This item is a very good purchase for a beginner in football. The pad set is reasonably priced and durable based on its description as a lite pad set. The pad set was great for practice, however I had to purchase a heavy duty set during the actual game season for extra protection. If you are budgeting and have a smaller son, this is the idea item for you.
