So I ordered the large and it was too big for my bird (hahns macaw) to provide warmth in the winter because the space around her was so open after she got inside! I wish they offered a size in between but I didn't see it so I ordered this one. At first my bird acted like she couldn't fit inside because her shoulders literally brush the sides but I find her sleeping in it at night now so it turns out it did work for her!She can use the larger size in the warmer months so both sizes ended up being a good fit depending on time of year.
