The dongle itself works very well for the most part, especially for the price, there are just a few issues with it. For starters, the hub gets worryingly hot. I have been using this dongle for about a month and haven't run into any issues, but the high temperatures definitely have a hit on the lifespan of the device. Secondly, the cable is not detachable but it is also not flexible, which is a bummer for travelers since it increases the space the hub takes up by a surprisingly high amount. The last problem I had with the hub was the conditions in which it arrived. It might have just been my unit, but when it came, the dongle was full of scratches on the bottom side. With all that being said, the product is very much worth it for most people, especially those who don't need the speed and advanced features of other, much more expensive dongles.

UPDATEAfter cooling down overnight, the hub began working again. I do believe this may be the same overheating issue that others are seeing. I've taken steps to move it out of any direct sunlight hitting my desk, as that may have been adding to the problem.Upgrading to three stars but will revisit if it continues to have issues.Purchased in January, worked fine until last night. I updated to Monterey 12.4 and now it refuses to work with my laptop. Incredibly frustrating and I will be looking to get my money back. It has been babied and barely used and has never left my desk, there is absolutely no reason for it to suddenly stop working. Garbage.

Maybe it was obvious for some people but from the pictures, I was misled.This is slightly curve, you can get a pretty significant wobble if you press this down.Why anyone thought this was a good idea is beyond me.Other than the shape (not laying flat on surface, in a neat fashion like I want most of my electronics)the number of hubs and variety really makes this one top notch, the metal? casing feels good but the cord feels a little cheap.wish I could love it

Although it works fine now, let's see how it does next year as Apple somehow knows when a non Apple dongle is in use and sometimes manages to render it useless!
