I haven't used them with my speakers yet I'm gunna hook them up to some 10awg Wired Home / AUDTEK speaker wire soon. Based on holding them and plugging them in: They feel sturdy. The Connection to the speaker plugs is VERY secure, not in a struggle-to-pull them out or push them in 'way'. They push in with some force and you can feel it. I Tested the feel of them with my RX-V990 receiver speaker plug connection. With my testing they don't go all the way down to the hard surround plastic, they sort of stick out - like most banana plugs. I Like that them come with an Allen Wrench type screw connection for holding down the wire.
