This has been my goto mic holder for years. good shock protection and holds practically any mic. I've never had one break and own several. The tapered SM-58's and Beta 57A bodies can be a problem, but not with this clip.

I like the build quality, they fit our goose neck microphones nicely. So far they seem sturdy. Our last ones we had were just about ready to finish breaking at the rubber mount. These arrived just in time.

Low rumble, movement or floor noise!!! Just clean vocals!!! Only thing I'll use! Last one lasted 3 years of hard use. Only broke due to me setting something heavy on it in truck and trying to pull it out!!! Worth every penny!!!!! B

this is a nice idea, i'm sure it helps, it fits most hand held mics... I use it to hold an SM57 to mic a snare drum both live and studio... live it probably helps with some stage vibrations and whatnot ... its handy to have

This mic clip is a much better shock mount than it has any right to be. This is not to say it replaces a $100 elastic and cage shock mount basket mount, but like a foam wind screen it upgrades the internal shock mount on an SM58 class stage dynamic mic from almost good enough to good enough.Consider that an SM58 on a standard clip on a stand on a wooden floor will reject the sound of some people walking but pickup others. This can be solved by putting a rug under the stand. This clip provides a similar amount of rejection. If your mic doesn't have an internal shock mount it probably won't be enough, but you can always use both the rug and the clip.From a handling point it eliminate the ticking sound of touching the stand, but some of the boom of tapping the stand comes through.

I use an onstage x keyboard stand with second tier. I have an onstage mic stand attached to the end of the second tier arm. I have a shure pg58 and shure mic holder. I was getting a very annoying bass thump whenever I played the keyboard (weighted or unweighted)I tried to use foam and washers to reduce the unwanted noise, but that didn't help at all.I'm glad I found this rubberized clip. It significantly reduces the background noise. In addition, it doesn't look as weird and obtrusive as the larger cord suspended microphone stands. For $10, it's a good buy.
