Having read mixed reviews I really wondered whether this would meet my needs. I'm strictly using this for my music hobby at home so I didn't need something that would stand up to tons of abuse; I did need something that wouldn't immediately break with regular use, though. I've only had this for a couple weeks now, but I was immediately impressed with the quality of the materials and moving parts. I haven't had any problems so far with tipping or sliding or anything.My one frustration was that, based on the pictures and information about other products I had been reviewing at the same time, I really thought this stand came with a mic clip. It was useless to me when it first arrived because I didn't know I needed to order a mic clip separately. That said, I was glad that I paid a little more for this stand and a separate mic clip, as I expect that both are higher quality than what I would've gotten with them bundled together.This stand might not be adequate for professional use, but for a semi-serious hobbiest musician on a budget, this is a phenomenal product at a reasonable price.

Bought this stand to use for a condenser mic setup and the quality and stability of this stand are perfect for our usage. The adjustable pivoting head for the Mic Arm is solid and can be set up for hours without any drooping. Would recommend this stand for anyone looking for a decent Mic stand with arm.
