Comfortable and sturdy for an adult. It looks great next to my Casio digital piano.

We purchased this, because we thought we were buying a bench seat with a hinged compartment; a place to store our foot pedal and music books. It clearly shows a hinged model in the images for this item. But BEWARE, this model has a fixed seat. There is no hinge, no compartment - nothing to open. It is a nice bench otherwise, but if you are looking for a hinged seat with storage, this is not it.
