I bought one of these stands for my mountain dulcimer. It works well. Liked it so much I bought a second one for my bowed psaltery.

Use this for my uke and my woodrow. Wouldn't work for a lap dulcimer. I'd recommend getting a large one and cinching it very small with a wire or something. For small instruments with a body and a protruding neck, this will work.

I really bought this not for just my ukulele but hoping it would fit my aluminum cast lap steel guitar. Which it had unsusal body shaped out to be fryingpan. I'm glad it could handle the weight. Mind you aluminum cast instrument are quite heavy to begin with. At first I wanted to see how durable was this stand so I left the instrument on the stand for a few days. And guess what? It's works just fine. And I'm glad I stuck with ON-STAGE products. I have their stands for my guitars and basses I been using their products for the past two years and glad I could still use such a reliable brand.
