This one will not pick up the larger leaves due to the main body size plus it has a tendency to rise up and not be on the bottom at all.

I use the vacuum to clean our fountain so I have to hold the net up above the unit as I vacuum. If it was submerged in a pool that would not be necessary.

This is a great vacuum. I would love to give it a 5, but for 1 issue. It does not pick up fine particulant. Even installed women's stocking material over filtering mesh. The super fine material (algae) simply passes right through the filter, never leaving the water. If there were a way to pump the algae laden water out of the the pool, rather than recycle it continuously, that could remove a good deal of algae. Maybe a long narrow ejection pipe. Obviously water would end up on the ground. But it would be worth it. I might work on it for this summer 2023. Wait for an update. Of course another option would be a sand filtration system. That's a whole different kind of animal though.

Works well. Picks up larger particles. Bristles at the bottom very effective.However, does not remove fine/small algae. But overall, very good product.
